Monthly Report October 2019

October 2019

By popular demand we have decided to reintroduce our much loved fishery reports.
October has been a very busy month, we began with a very successful corporate day, with our guest instructor Gilly Bate in attendance – all anglers had fine day of fishing. We are also delighted to welcome the release of our much anticipated documentary film by Gerry Pomeroy:
After what seems like an endless summer of high water temperatures, low river flows and excessive weed growth, autumn has been a welcome season of change and the sudden change in conditions have spurred the fish into action. The lakes are crystal clear and are providing good stalking conditions.
Lures have been the dominant fly of choice, especially early mornings, however there is still plenty of emerging fly life, when things get a little tricky and lures are being snubbed, something small and natural has proved to be very effective.
It is essential to book in advance to avoid disappointment and to help us plan our working day.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Tight lines.
